The site accommodated a private members tennis club until 2018. Centro implemented its planning strategy, securing an officer recommendation to approve eight houses and sports club on the site. The Planning Committee overturned the recommendation, and Centro managed the subsequent appeal, establishing the principle of the development, but with the appeal being dismissed on design grounds. The subsequent planning application addressed the outstanding design matter, and the Planning Committee approved the development.
