This proposal is located in the heart of the Hackney Wick and Fish Island’s Creative Enterprise Zone, being identified as requiring affordable workspace and housing for the creative industries.
Through public consultation the needs of start-up businesses were realised with Centro hearing and successfully addressing them.
The proposal is a formalised and regularised tethered 23 unit live/work arrangement, which would provide a high standard of living. The building is also a non-designated heritage asset, with the proposal aiming to utilise many of the existing buildings features, which lend itself to creative work.
An application is due to be submitted mid 2023.
