The proposal was for Crystal Palace FC’s new youth academy on Metropolitan Open Land in Beckenham. Centro was appointed in October 2019, submitted the planning application in December 2019, and secured Planning Committee approval in April 2020. Centro’s arguments were pivotal in securing the full-size covered pitch, using a ‘very special circumstances’ argument.
