Centro led the development team through a politically sensitive planning process. The building is locally listed and has a prime location in Romford town centre. The site is immediately adjacent to Romford station, which was imminently due to become an Elizabeth Line station at the time. Its location made it of interest to local leaders who were in the process of drafting masterplan strategies for the town centre. Ultimately, Centro secured planning permission on appeal following a successful hearing.
