Centro is proud to be the project lead for this complex brownfield redevelopment site. This proposal would provide 72 high-quality new homes and workshop space for local businesses. The proposal is located in the heart of the Hackney Wick and Fish Island Creative Enterprise Zone and will provide much-needed workspace for creative businesses in the area. The gatehouse on site is a non-designated heritage asset and would be preserved, restored and brought into viable use. The proposal will offer public access to the canal, which is currently private, with pedestrian access through the site. The proposal will improve wayfinding via a new marker building, which will indicate the new pedestrian footbridge access the River Lea Navigation from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
