Centro originally secured consent for an office scheme in 2021. The client then sought to introduce residential use to improve viability, and Centro successfully justified the loss of consented Class E floorspace in the Central Activities Zone through an argument centred around reduced demand following the Covid-19 pandemic. Permission was granted less than two months after the application was submitted.
